August 23-28, 2009 -- 32nd British Zeolite Association Meeting, held at the University of Cumbria, Ambleside, in the English lake district. Registration is now open, and the deadline for abstract submission is 27 February 2009.
July 10-18, 2010 -- Zeolite 2010, the 8th International Conference on the Occurrence, Properties, and Utilization of Natural Zeolites, Sofia, Bulgaria. Conference Chair is INZA member Ognyan Petrov.
June 6, 2009 -- We're sad to announce the passing of Dr. Robert Bowman, Professor of Hydrology at New Mexico Tech. Rob was a member of INZA for many years, was the organizing committee chair of Zeolite '06, and oversaw the redesign of this website. His obituary is here. A memorial page will be posted on this website soon. April 6, 2009 -- In February 2009, our colleagues in Turkey established ZEODER -- the Natural Zeolite Mines and Minerals Association. Turkey is rich in high-quality zeolite with a total reserve of 50 billion tonnes, especially high-purity clinoptilolite in the Manisa-Gördes area, yet little research and development is being done on this valuable resource. ZEODOR's primary goal is to increase understanding of natural zeolites and promote their use in science and industry. To achieve this they will be following national and international research, educating people about zeolite's usefulness, supporting facilities and activities related to zeolite, and organizing symposia and conferences with local and foreign experts.
